'207's Best' for Jan. honored
Three seniors have been honored by Maine Township High School District 207 as "207's Best" for January. The honorees, cited for improved performance and recognized during a board meeting, are Natalie Bialecki of Maine East, Mario "Niko" Garza of Maine South and Udit Patel of Maine West.
The "207's Best" program recognizes outstanding students each month throughout the school year. Improved performance, community service, electives/performing arts and extracurricular honors are given one month each. Academic achievement awards are given in five of the nine school-year months. Teachers nominate students, and an executive committee makes final decisions. Honorees are then recognized by the Board of Education, which instituted the program.
