'Candy for the Holidays'

Learn how bright, colorful hard candies are made from scratch at Kline Creek Farm's "Candy for the Holidays" program. See the sugar mixture boiling on a wood-burning stove and take home a special recipe for modern kitchens.

Wonderland of trains

The Chicago Botanic Garden's annual Wonderland Express train holiday exhibition features garden-scale trains winding their way over bridges, past waterfalls and detailed landscapes with more than 80 miniature versions of Chicago landmarks. New this year is the Union Stockyard's Old Stone Gate and President Barack Obama's Hyde Park home. Realistic snow falls throughout the exhibit.
