Last year 12-14, 6-6, tied for second in the West suburban Silver; lost 65-45 to Lyons Twp. in the Class 4A Chicago Vocational regional semifinals.

Scouting report The program's sophomore coach the last two years, Maciejewski - in his 102nd season of coaching high school sports - takes the helm after previous stints at Glenbard West and West Chicago. The team took a hit when John Whitelaw, an All-Area pick last year, and Jason Rafferty chose not to come out so they could concentrate on football. Talent remains, starting with the scoring ability of Kladis. Known as a shooter, he's expanded his game. Defensive strength is a given with Maciejewski teams, a standard that will be epitomized by Brennan, the team stopper. "We'll look a little different on offense, but defense is still going to be our main focus," Maciejewski said.
