Game Day parking restrictions at RMHS
Saturday, Oct. 31, is a big day in Rolling Meadows, so special parking regulations will be in effect around Rolling Meadows High School.
It's Halloween, of course, and the high school will host a playoff game with Lake Zurich High School at 7 p.m.
To prevent many extra cars traveling through a large residential area while children are out trick-or-treating, people attending the game are asked to park at Rolling Meadows High School, 2901 Central Road; Park Central, 3000 Central Road; or Conyers Learning Academy, 2800 Central Road.
Overflow parking will be available at Willow Bend School, 4700 Barker Ave., and Central Road School, 3800 Central Road.
Rolling Meadows police will have officers in the area before, during and after the football game to direct pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
Parking will be prohibited near the high school, and temporary "No Parking" signs posted. The following streets are affected: Central Road, Linden Lane, Cedar Street, Maple Lane, Oak Street, Birch Lane, Willow Lane, Jay Lane and Fulle Street.
The police department urges motorists to use caution and be aware of children crossing the streets. Trick-or-treat hours in Rolling Meadows are 3-8 p.m.
