Dist. 200 superintendent's fate to be discussed

Amid rumors that Superintendent Richard Drury could be removed, the Wheaton Warrenville Unit District 200 school board has scheduled a special meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, to discuss "appointment, employment or dismissal of an employee."

The agenda also includes an item that calls for action to be taken on "closed session topics/administrative contracts." The meeting will be held at the School Service Center, 130 W. Park Ave., Wheaton.

Rumors have been swirling around Drury since he did not attend the Sept. 23 school board meeting. School board members have repeatedly said Drury is on vacation.
