District 207 talks finances

Maine Township High School District 207 will host a series of public meetings to provide information, answer questions and listen to ideas from community members about resolving the district's budget deficits in coming years. The district is projecting a roughly $17 million deficit in the 2010-2011 school year if no action is taken. Superintendent Ken Wallace and Assistant Superintendent for Business Mary Kalou will make a presentation and then field questions and ideas on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Maine South High School; Monday, Oct. 19, at Maine East; and Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Maine West. Each session will run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
