Scouting Naperville Central vs. Naperville North

Outlook Naperville Central's offense revolves around quarterback Nick Linne, who's thrown for 1,010 yards and leads the team with 363 rushing yards. Receivers Hayden Daniels, Cam Brate and Brent Zelinski, each standing at least 6-foot-4, have combined for 56 catches for 800 yards. Ben Murphy and Derek Jancik boast 100-yard rushing games, but consistency on the ground remains a goal. Defensively, Brate and Alex Schaefer apply quarterback pressure from the line. Linebackers Matt Soria and Will Sayer also anchor the unit along with safety Paul Wirtz. Naperville North continues to recover from a wave of injuries that especially devastated the lines. Linebackers Nick Lifka and Arnas Gintautas added offensive duties, with Lifka becoming a fullback and Gintautas playing guard. Idris Hanidu has come on in the running game. He's up to 514 rushing yards. Despite committing to the double wing, the Huskies still hope to create a pass threat with quarterback Matt LaCosse. Defensively, the Huskies have a top-notch group of linebackers with Lifka, Gintautas and Jack Krejci, who has a team-high 38 tackles.
