Scouting Mundelein @ Lake Forest
Mundelein (1-4, 0-2) at Lake Forest (1-4, 1-2)
When 7:30 p.m. today
Last week Mundelein d. Wauconda, 18-9. Lake Forest lost to Warren, 43-42, in overtime.
Skinny The Mustangs equaled their 2008 win total and made their homecoming a happy one by beating Wauconda. Now they'll try to spoil the Scouts' homecoming. Mundelein got a solid game from running back Mike O'Donoghue, who rushed 22 times for 96 yards and a touchdown. The defense will face Lake Forest's prolific offense, which is averaging 36 points per game and is led by Notre Dame-bound quarterback Tommy Rees and wide receiver Connor Moutvic. Against Warren, Rees was 36 of 57 for 337 yards and 4 TDs, all to Moutvic, who had 12 receptions.
The Scouts' problem is that they trouble stopping the opposing offense. They're allowing an average of 39.2 points per game.
