Aurora man charged with peeping on Bolingbrook tanners

An Aurora man is being held in Will County jail on charges he videotaped a woman in a Bolingbrook tanning salon.

According to Bolingbrook police arrest records, officers responded at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday to the salon at 753 E. Boughton Road when the victim reported being taped.

The 30-year-old woman told police she was inside a booth and applying lotion when she noticed a hand holding a camera coming from the next booth.

She and the manager confronted 29-year-old Manuel Alberto Lara, of the 1100 block of North Randall Road, in the next booth.

Police said Lara denied the allegation and attempted to leave the store when he was met by responding officers. Police located and seized Lara's camera, which was found to contain a video of the victim.
