Wauconda man found dead in Pistakee Lake

A 70-year-old Wauconda man appears to have drowned in Pistakee Lake, authorities said.

The man's body was found by a passing boat around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the water near 82 N. Route 12 in Fox Lake, Lake County Coroner Richard Keller said. The Lake County sheriff's office marine unit is investigating. The man's name was not immediately released, pending notification of his family.
