BG goes 2-3 at Vernon Hills

Buffalo Grove went 2-3 in tournament play at Vernon Hills, getting wins over Deerfield (25-17, 25-11) and Lake Park (26-24, 25-23).

For the five matches, junior Alanna Zawlocki led the Bison (4-10) with 28 kills followed by senior Alysa Feld (21) and senior Stacey Jordan (18).

Senior setter Sam McCormack handed out 41 assists while classmate Kelly Sommers collected 24.

Senior Alexa Barrowman sparked the Bison defense with 36 digs, followed by senior Angie Lombardo (19), Feld (13) and junior Jessica Ray (12). Feld also had 10 blocks.

McCormack and Sommers each had 5 aces while Feld added 3.

Prairie Ridge Invite: Prairie Ridge finished the tournament with a 3-2 record, followed by Barrington (2-3), Naperville Central (1-4) and Fenwick (0-5). The Fillies are now 2-7 for the season and host Hoffman Estates on Tuesday.
