Peickert probe of paper route next?

In his last letter, DuPage Democrat Party Chairman Bob Peickert exhibited all the reasons why voters dislike politics and politicians. Voters hate personal attacks and mudslinging, a trait that Peickert has developed into an art form.

He went back to 1995 and found an article written by a left-wing Democratic group that attempted to disparage the reputation of U.S. Rep. Henry Hyde by claiming that I was in some sort of violation in a business venture I entered into. After a vigilant investigation by Democratic investigators, no wrongdoing was found. Peickert threw at the wall money figures I was supposed to have possibly made, like $10 million and $20 million.

Oh don't I wish. Since these false charges are another Peickert dead end, he may want to investigate my newspaper route collections in 1947.

Peickert states that I am damaging his credibility. I don't have to do that because he takes care of that himself. His constant claim of innocence regarding his being found guilty of failure to disclose campaign funds is disproved in the letter displayed at www.addisontwpgop.com.

When he was offered a walk through at the Addison Township offices to disprove a false claim he made about rent, he refused. He refused an offer to come to the food pantry to learn the truth. And he recently failed to file financial disclosure reports for his DuPage Democratic Party with the state by the July 20 deadline.

Instead of personal attacks, what we should be debating is the comparison of DuPage County under the Republicans being debt-free, while the state under the Democrats is $11 billion in debt. How about it Bob? Can you stick to the issues confronting voters? Or maybe you just want to keep spinning the truth.

Addison Township Republican Chairman
