Huntley to get cut of capital bill
Funding for one of Huntley's top infrastructure priorities got a huge shot in the arm courtesy of the $31 billion capital bill Gov. Pat Quinn signed into law last week. The bill, financed by gambling expansion and increased taxes on certain items, includes about $41 million for the widening of Route 47, Huntley Village Manager Dave Johnson said. The Illinois Department of Transportation is completing the second phase engineering work on the project and is expected to start work in 2010.
