Chamber asking for Celebration help
The Streamwood Chamber of Commerce is asking for volunteers to help at this year's Streamwood Celebration, to be held July 24-26 in Hoosier Grove, Streamwood. The chamber needs volunteers to work the chamber table in two-three hour intervals from 1-8 p.m. July 25 and 1-5 p.m. July 26.
Chamber members who volunteer will be allowed to promote their business with fliers and trinkets in the goody bags. Expo tables are still available for the three-day event. Cost is $200; $250 for nonmembers. Call (630) 837-5200.
Crespo workshop on foreclosures Aug. 5
State Rep. Fred Crespo will host a foreclosure workshop at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 5 in Room 214 of Hanover Park Village Hall, 2121 W. Lake St.
The event will have presentations from the Illinois Attorney General's office, Chase Bank and Bank of America to help people to cut through bureaucratic red tape and to get their mortgage payments in check.

Little City golf event honors local banker
The 46th annual Little City Invitational Golf Tournament Monday, Aug. 24, will honor banking executive Larry Richman of Arlington Heights, CEO of Chicago-based PrivateBancorp Inc.
Richman will receive the Morrie Kellman Humanitarian Award, named after the founder of the Little City tournament.
A field of 250 golfers is expected to tee it up over the 36-hole Twin Orchard Country Club in Long Grove and then stay for the awards dinner, silent auction and live auction.
