North Aurora

• Douglas L. White, 17, of the 400 block of Assembly Drive, Bolingbrook, was charged with battery, at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fox Valley Technical and Trade Center, 195 Poplar Place, according to a police report.

• Jesus Gallardo, 35, of the 500 block of Fourth Avenue, Aurora, was charged Monday with forgery, unlawful possession of a fraudulent identification card and identity theft, according to a police report. According to court documents, Gallardo used a California man's identity to fill out a job application at Aurora Packing Co., 125 S. Grant St., North Aurora. He used false information on a job application at the plant in 2005, and had a fake Social Security card. He remained in custody as of late Friday.

• Vadii L. Ellis, 51, of the 5000 block of Route 34, Oswego, was charged May 28 with two counts of deceptive practice, according to police. He is accused of writing seven bad checks, knowing there wasn't enough money in the account, from Dec. 24, 2007 to Jan. 5, 2008, and another bad check on May 27, all to Woodman's Market, 151 Hansen Blvd. The checks totaled $356.75.

• Daniel L. Olivan, 17, of the 1000 block of Autumn Lane, Aurora, was charged May 28 with criminal sexual abuse of a person at least 13 but younger than 17, according to a police report. He was also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Batavia

• Someone damaged ventilation louvers on a sanitary sewer lift station by throwing large pieces of limestone at them, it was reported at 8:55 a.m. Wednesday. The station is in the 1100 block of McClurg.

• Someone broke into a restroom building, damaged an access hatch to the utility room, and wrote or painted graffiti on skateboard ramps at the Batavia Skate Park, 411 S. River St., it was reported at 9:06 a.m. Wednesday, according to a police report.

• Brian M. Umphrey, 19, of the 6400 block of East Napier Avenue, Benton Harbor, Mich., was charged Wednesday with unlawful use of a credit card and soliciting without a city permit in the 100 block of North Washington Street, according to police. A companion, Cassey D. Keith, 19, of the 0-100 block of Marquette Drive, Rapid City, S.D., was given a ticket for soliciting without a city permit.

Geneva

• Michael J. Howard, 21, of 1345 Dunham Court, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication at 2:47 a.m. Tuesday at Chesapeake Way and Windsor Court, according to a police report. Police found Howard asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle.

• Donnelle L. McKinley, 30, of the 4700 block of St. Joseph Creek, Lisle, was charged with retail theft at 5:42 p.m. May 30, according to police. He is accused of stealing five bottles of vodka from Dominick's, 2000 S. Randall Road.

• A man was charged with felony harassment by telephone, as a result of becoming upset about not being invited to a young woman's Geneva High School graduation ceremony, according to a police report. Police said Alan W. Knackstedt, 50, of the 3100 block of Fairway Drive, McHenry, left a phone message at the woman's house, saying he would break the nose of a 39-year-old woman who lives with the teenager, if the woman tried to stop him from entering the ceremony, and threatened to kill them.

• Eight people were charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor, around 11 p.m. May 30 at a house in the 2200 block of Lorraine Circle, according to a police report. They are Christiana Joy Adekun, 18, of the 400 block of Lakeview Drive, Aurora; Garrett Grinnell, 18, of the 0N900 block of Kelley Lane, Geneva; Andrea L. Colton, 19, of the 400 block of Offutt Lane, North Aurora; Zachary Andrew Kammerer, 17, of the 1500 block of Fargo Boulevard, Geneva; Casey A. Scott, 18, of the 200 block of Mill Drive, Batavia; Robert J. Francis, 18, and Scott Myles Francis, 17, both of the 2700 block of Chatham Court, Geneva; and John Martinez, 17, of the 2200 block of Lorraine Circle, Geneva. Martinez was also charged with obstructing a peace officer, resisting arrest and illegal possession of tobacco products.

Kane County

• An iPod, XM satellite radio and Shard LCD projector were among $2,840 in items reported stolen Thursday from a vehicle on the 300 block of Normandie Drive, Sugar Grove Township, according to police.

• A Canon camera, projector and laptop were among $3,150 in items reported stolen Thursday from a residence on the 13N300 block of Brindlewood Lane, Plato Township, according to police.
