Help for Old School preserve

HSBC North America this week donated $10,000 to the Preservation Foundation of the Lake County Forest Preserve District to help with habitat restoration at the Old School Forest Preserve near Libertyville. The donation is part of an ongoing effort by the Mettawa company that last year included more than 425 hours of volunteer effort. Four work days to clear invasive weeds and brush and install native plants, are scheduled this year. Old School was the first forest preserve in Illinois to use native prairie restoration to enhance recreational facilities and beautify the park.
