Democrat's ire is hypocritical

How do you spell "hypocrite?" P-E-I-C-K-E-R-T. That's the best definition there is after reading DuPage County Democratic Chairman Bob Peickert's May 2 letter to the editor blasting county board member Don Puchalski.

Peickert has more gall than our new national debt. Here is a guy who was found guilty and fined more than $2,400 by the Illinois State Board of Elections for improper campaign finance disclosure. The fine centered on the facts that Mr. Peickert spent thousands and thousands of dollars on one of his campaigns and refused to disclose where all his money came from. When the ISBE finally caught up with him, he covered up his behavior with in-kind contributions. And guess who Peickert's opponent was in that campaign, folks? None other than Don Puchalski, who met every aspect of proper campaign disclosure. It is inconceivable to me how a man like Peickert, with his campaign disclosure history, continues to throw insult after insult at a man like Puchalski who has never done anything wrong. Even worse, while Peickert was writing his fictitious letter to the editor about Puchalski, his own Addison Township Democrat Organization was being found guilty by the state board of elections (Case #09CD013) on April 22. That's right, while Peickert was condemning a former campaign opponent, his own organization was found guilty for failing to file reports explaining where its 2009 campaign money came from.

The reason Bob Peickert uses words like "pay to play" and the "lack of transparency" is because he invented those words. And why not since no one knows more about them than the spin master himself, Bob Peickert.
