Lake Forest closes in on NSC Lake title

Lake Forest's girls soccer team moved one step closer to clinching the North Suburban Lake Division championship Thursday.

The Scouts knocked off visiting Lake Zurich 3-1 in a game that got pushed back a day due to Wednesday's rain and lightning.

Lake Forest (13-2-1, 4-0-1) has the inside track of hosting the NSC championship game next Thursday. The Scouts have one game remaining in the division, against Zion-Benton at home. A win or tie will give Lake Forest the title.
