No arrests in stabbing:

Hanover Park police haven't made any arrests in the gang-related stabbing of an unidentified 15-year-old male around 4:30 p.m. Monday. No one was in custody as of late Tuesday and police said witnesses have offered only limited cooperation. The victim remains at St. Alexius Medical Center recovering from a stab wound to the chest. His condition is unknown. Police said the teen was hurt after a fight between two groups broke out near the intersection of Church Street and Redwood Avenue. An active investigation is ongoing, police said.

Schaumburg boat show gone:

The National Marine Manufacturers Association is canceling three of its annual shows, including the Schaumburg Boat & Sport Show scheduled for Feb. 18-21, 2010 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center. Other shows canceled were to be in San Diego and Norfolk, Va. "In the current state of our industry, our shows' exhibitors are compromised by an overabundance of boat shows in these markets," said Ben Wold, NMMA executive vice president. "Without the Virginia, San Diego and Schaumburg shows, we'll be able to focus on delivering improved quality at our other shows and create a stronger selling environment for our exhibitors at remaining NMMA shows." Schaumburg has hosted three Boat & Sport Shows; the most recent one was Feb. 11-15.

Charged with fake 911 calls:

Bartlett police have arrested a 30-year-old man they said made three false 911 calls, including one Friday about an armed robbery. Kelly Williams, of the 100 block of Stephanie Court in Bartlett, was arrested Friday and charged with three felony counts of disorderly conduct, Sgt. Michael McGuigan said. Police say Williams called them to report a man with a gun near his home, and that he'd made two similar false reports the last two months. Police continue to investigate the motive. Williams was taken to Cook County Jail and awaits a bond hearing at the Rolling Meadows courthouse, McGuigan said.
