Bartlett
• Luis A. Perez, 19, of the 100 block of South Liberty Street, Bartlett, was arrested around 3:30 a.m. Jan. 31 at Route 59 and Gulf Stream Drive and charged with illegal consumption of alcohol, illegal transportation of open alcohol and a traffic violation.
• Jacob R. Beuten, 17, of the 2000 block of College Green Drive, Elgin, was arrested around 11 a.m. Feb. 1 at Lake Street and Route 59 and charged with local ordinance possession of marijuana.
• Thieves stole a snowplow valued at $2,500 out of a vehicle on Oakmont Drive overnight Jan. 28-29.
• Vandals scratched a vehicle Jan. 26 at Bartlett High School, 701 W. Schick Road. Damage was estimated at $300.
• Thieves stole several packages valued at $130 from the front porch at a home on Harbor Terrace between 3:45 and 4 p.m. Jan. 26.
• Thieves stole a track team student's cell phone valued at $150 out of the boys' locker room at Bartlett High School, 701 W. Schick Road Jan. 26.
• A vandal shot BB-gun pellets that broke two front windows at a home on North Berteau Avenue Jan. 28. Damage was estimated at $200.
• Thieves stole a laptop computer valued at $350 out of an unlocked office at Villa Olivia, 1401 W. Lake St., overnight Jan. 28-29, and stole a snowboard valued at $250 around 6:40 p.m. Jan. 31 left next to the ski office.
Hanover Park
• Federico J. Hernandez, 21, of the 0-100 block of Big Oaks, Streamwood, and Amber C. Honaker, 17, of the 600 block of Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, were arrested around 10:45 p.m. Jan. 30 at Plum Tree Lane and Sycamore Avenue and charged with possession of marijuana.
• Luis E. Huerta, 23, of the 100 block of West Mohawk, Carol Stream, and Baretta Simon, 33, of the 21W500 block of Lynn Road, Lombard, were arrested around 12:10 a.m. Jan. 30 at County Farm and Schick roads and charged with drag racing.
• Bob J. Simms, 24, of the 1800 block of Quaker Hollow Lane, Streamwood, was arrested around 5:50 p.m. Feb. 1 in a store at 7350 Barrington Road and charged with retail theft and battery.
• Vandals wrote graffiti on the back of a traffic sign on the 2100 block of Laurel Avenue Jan. 31.
• Burglars stole items out of a 1999 Oldsmobile on the 2100 block of Osage Lane around 9 a.m. Jan. 30.
• Thieves stole an MP3 player out of a home on the 6700 block of Pine Tree Street around 5 p.m. Feb. 1.
Hoffman Estates
• Burglars forced open a rear door at a home on the 700 block of Baxter Lane between Jan. 22 and Feb. 1, ransacked bedrooms and the attic, and stole coins and jewelry.
• Vandals smashed the front driver's-side window on a 2004 Toyota Camry between 5:30 p.m. Jan. 31 and 1:30 a.m. Feb. 1 on the 400 block of Newark Lane. Damage was estimated at $300.
• Thieves stole a cell phone valued at $500 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Jan. 31 out of a home on the 1600 block of Island View Court while workers were installing flooring.
• A man stole a computer from Tiger Direct on the 600 block of West Golf Road around 1:45 p.m. Jan. 30 but dropped it outside the store and lost a shoe after setting off an alarm. The thief drove away in a silver Pontiac Grand Am.
Schaumburg
• Luis Antonio Torres, 44, of the 500 block of Willard Avenue, Elgin, was arrested around noon Jan. 30 at Jewel-Osco, 1151 S. Roselle Road, and charged with retail theft. Reports said he took 10 jars of tomato bouillon. His court date is Feb. 24.
• Burglars broke into a 2006 Mazda 6 between 5:30 and 8:50 p.m. Jan. 28 on the 1100 block of American Lane and stole a laptop computer. Loss was estimated at $1,150.
• Burglars broke into a 2003 Honda SUV at Woodfield Mall between 7:45 a.m. and 9:45 p.m. Jan. 29 and stole a GPS valued at $220.
• Burglars broke into a 2008 Ford Taurus on the 800 block of National Parkway between 10:30 and 11:15 a.m. Jan. 30 and stole a briefcase and laptop computer. Loss was estimated at $1,600.
• A burglar broke a rear window at a home on the 1000 block of Holli Court between 5 and 10:15 p.m. Jan. 30 and stole a firearm owner's ID card, jewelry, cash and digital cameras.
Streamwood
• Burglars stole a snowblower valued at $800 out of an attached garage at a home on the 100 block of English Oak Lane between 4:30 a.m. Jan. 29 and 10:30 p.m. Feb. 1.
• Shooters fired a handgun several times on the 3000 block of Lynnwood Court around 6:55 p.m. Jan. 30. Witnesses saw one or two cars speed out of a parking lot afterward.
• Burglars stole a cell phone valued at $100 out of an unlocked 2002 Mitsubishi Galant on the 400 block of East Irving Park Road between 12:01 and 11 a.m. Jan. 30.
• Thieves stole a red 2007 Suzuki Forenza sedan from a driveway on the 100 block of Timber Trail between 5:30 p.m. Jan. 30 and 7 a.m. Jan. 31. Chicago officers found the car burned on the 4300 block of North Springfield.
• Burglars broke into a 2006 GMC Savanna van between noon and 1:30 p.m. Jan. 31 in a store lot at 1556 Buttitta Drive and stole a camera, lenses, a GPS unit and other items. Value was estimated over $600.
Arlington Heights
• Thieves stole eight tires and aluminum alloy rims from two 2009 Nissan Maximas and a 2007 Nissan 350Z at Arlington Nissan, 1100 W. Dundee Road, between 10 p.m. Jan. 30 and 10 a.m. Jan. 31.
• Vandals cut the convertible roof on a 2001 Volkswagen Cabrio at First Presbyterian Church, 302 N. Dunton Ave., between 9 and 10 a.m. Feb. 1.
• Vandals put a 4-foot-long scratch on the front and rear passenger's-side doors on a 1997 Ford Expedition in a condominium lot on the 2400 block of East Olive Street between 1 and 10 a.m. Jan. 31. Damage was estimated at $500.
• Burglars broke into a 2008 Kia Sportage in a restaurant lot at 1331 W. Dundee Road between 6 and 9:45 p.m. Jan. 31 and stole a GPS valued at $450.
• Burglars stole a GPS unit and amplifier/speaker system valued at $2,000 out of an unlocked 2002 Honda Accord in an open garage on the 900 block of North Fernandez between 12:01 and 6 a.m. Jan. 29.

• Thieves stole a cell phone valued at $110 out of a coat pocket in a closet at Omnicare of Northern Illinois, 2313 S. Mount Prospect Road between 7 p.m. Jan. 30 and 1:30 a.m. Jan. 31.
• Vandals sprayed gang graffiti on an exterior concrete wall at a banquet hall at 1730 S. Elmhurst Road between 7 p.m. Jan. 30 and 11 a.m. Jan. 31 for the third time in the last six months. Damage was estimated at $100. Vandals also sprayed gang graffiti on an exterior wall and on a white 2004 Chevrolet box truck at a restaurant at 851 W. Oakton St. Damage was estimated at $1,000.
• Burglars broke into a 1995 Mack semi-tractor truck in a lot in the 1200 block of Rand Road between 4 p.m. Jan. 30 and noon Jan. 31 and stole a yellow plastic toolbox with several tools.
• A man stole seven cans of baby formula valued at $190 from Jewel-Osco, 1500 S. Lee St., between 2:40 and 2:45 p.m. Jan. 31. He fled in a 1999 Jeep with two other occupants.
Elk Grove Village
• Kent S. Bishop, 52, of the 400 block of Racine Drive, Wilmington, N.C., was arrested around 12:45 a.m. Jan. 31 on the 2800 block of Touhy Avenue and charged with possession of marijuana. His court date is Feb. 16.
• Zachary J. Pecorelli, 19, of the 1900 block of Vernon Circle, Elk Grove Village, was arrested around noon Jan. 31 at Biesterfield Road and Gibson Drive and charged with possession of marijuana. His court date is Feb. 17.
• Nicholas D. Romero, 17, of the 1600 block of Gibson Drive, Elk Grove Village, was arrested around 10:10 p.m. Jan. 23 at 600 Meacham Road and charged with criminal defacement of property. Michael Y. Johnson, 17, of the 500 block of Isle Royal Bay, Roselle, was arrested around 1 p.m. Jan. 30 at 600 Meacham Road and charged with criminal defacement of property and possession of marijuana. Court date for both is March 11.
• Vandals used a spring-loaded punch device to break the front and rear driver's-side windows on a 2007 Toyota Camry on the 1800 block of Pebble Beach Circle between 5:35 and 9:50 p.m. Jan. 31. Damage was estimated at $600.
• Burglars stole the in-dash radio valued at $300 out of a 1994 Chevrolet Suburban on the 100 block of Randall Street between 2:10 and 4:30 p.m. Feb. 1.
• Jake E. Daniels, 17, of the 500 block of Selkirk Drive, Schaumburg, was arrested around 3:50 p.m. Jan. 28 at Biesterfield Road and Martha Street and charged with possession of marijuana. His court date is Feb. 19.
• Burglars kicked and broke the front door window at Village Marathon, 1195 Rohlwing Road, between 9 p.m. Jan. 27 and 4:45 a.m. Jan. 28. Damage was estimated at $500.
• Burglars entered an unlocked home on the 200 block of Fleetwood Lane between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Jan. 23 and stole a video-game system, three video games and 10 DVDs. Value was estimated at $760.
Mount Prospect
• A Mount Prospect woman received a bogus letter Jan. 29 claiming to be from Publishers Clearing House and informing her that she had won a million dollars. A check for $5,890 was included. She was instructed to phone a man, but the phone number was not valid. When she called Publishers Clearing House, she was told that the organization does not notify prize winners by letter.
Prospect Heights
• Burglars broke into a 1998 Econoline van in a lot on the 900 block of East Old Willow Road between 7 p.m. Jan. 28 and 7 a.m. Jan. 29 and stole saws, drills and nail guns. Value was estimated at $5,030.
