Karl Rove to speak in Schaumburg Feb. 23
Karl Rove, the former deputy chief of staff and senior adviser to former President George W. Bush, is coming to Schaumburg this month.
Rove, who's also a political commentator for Fox News, will be the keynote speaker at the second annual Northwest Suburban Republican Lincoln Day Dinner, to be held Feb. 23 at the Schaumburg Marriott Hotel, 50 N. Martingale Road in Schaumburg.
The 6 p.m. reception and 7 p.m. dinner bring together the Republican township committees of Barrington, Elk Grove, Hanover, Palatine, Schaumburg and Wheeling.
Political commentator Dan Proft will be master of ceremonies for the event, expected to draw more than 300 guests. The theme of the evening will be the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth. Each of the Republican township committees will host an area war veteran as their guest.
Tickets are $100 per person, with proceeds going to support the activities of the six Republican committees. Additional sponsorships and priority seating are also available.
