School board appoints trustee

The Lake Zurich Unit District 95 school board recently appointed Douglas Goldberg to complete the remainder of the term of board member Roger Tieman, who resigned to live outside the district's boundaries. Goldberg will be sworn in at the Thursday, Jan. 15 school board committee of the whole meeting. He will serve until Tieman's seat is up for election in April 2011. Goldberg works for Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Rolling Meadows. He served on District 95's facilities committee in 2007, is a den leader for Cub Scout Pack 208, Foglia YMCA soccer coach, and girls' softball coach. Goldberg was selected from eight community members who showed interest in the school board seat.
