Bartlett
• BB-gun pellets were shot through a window at a home on Robert Court between 5-6 p.m. Dec. 30; damage was estimated at $100.
• Jacob Opyd, 18, of the 5000 block of South Carbon Hill Road, Gardner, IL, was arrested around 4 a.m. Jan. 2 on the 1300 block of Filly Lane and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to reduce speed, illegal transportation of alcohol and consumption of alcohol by a minor. His court date is Feb. 3.
• Jeffrey De La Lopez, 20, of the 300 block of Eastern Avenue, Aurora, was arrested around 11:45 p.m. Jan. 2 at North and Hale avenues and charged with local ordinance possession of alcohol. His court date is Jan. 20.
• A man robbed a clerk at Blockbuster Video, 801 Route 59, around 8:20 p.m. Jan. 4. The robber did not show a weapon but implied that an accomplice in the parking lot had a gun and would use it. The clerk gave him $100 and he ran from the store.
• Michael A. Martinez, 23, of the 1400 block of Birchbark Trail, Carol Stream, was arrested around 3:50 a.m. Jan. 3 at Route 59 and Woodland Hills, and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence and traffic violations. His court date is Jan. 27.
• A vehicle on Wilmington Drive was broken into around 10:30 a.m. Jan. 1; the in-dash stereo and a wallet were stolen. Loss was estimated at $1,377.
Hanover Park
• Kiana M. McClelland, 17, of the 1300 block of Court Marguerite, Hanover Park, was arrested Jan. 5 and charged with retail theft from a store at 7580 Barrington Road. A court date was not available.
• Miguel Sanchez, 17, of the 6900 block of Hemlock, Hanover Park, Jeffrey De La O. Lopez, 20, of the 300 block of Eastern, Aurora, and four juveniles were arrested around 3 a.m. Jan. 4 on the 6900 block of Hemlock and charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. A court date was not available.
• Thomas Adams, 30, of the 800 block of Post, Streamwood, was arrested around 1:55 p.m. Jan. 2 at 7580 Barrington Road and charged with battery. A court date was not available.
• Elana N. Baker, 21, of the 6200 block of Church Street, Hanover Park, John Coleman, 23, of the 0-100 block of Big Oaks, Streamwood, and Angela M. Lee, 29, of the 200 block of Waverly Court, Carpentersville, were arrested around 10:30 p.m. Jan. 2 at Baker's apartment. Baker was charged with obstructing a peace officer; Coleman was charged with battery, and Lee was charged with obstructing a peace officer and possession of marijuana. A court date was not available.
• An extension ladder was stolen off a truck on the 2000 block of Elm around 4:30 a.m. Dec. 31; loss was estimated over $300.
Hoffman Estates
• Someone tried but failed to pry off a window screen at a home on the 1900 block of Hancock Drive between noon Jan. 1 and 1:30 p.m. Jan. 3, using a dog tie-down stake. Damage was estimated at $50.
Schaumburg
• Jessica J. Macialek, 24, of the 800 block of Winesap Court, Prospect Heights, was arrested around 8 p.m. Jan. 2 at Woodfield Mall and charged with endangering the life or health of a child after she left her 5-year-old son alone in the mall's play area for two hours. Her court date is Jan. 22.
• Francisco M. Sanchez, 27, of the 100 block of Winston, Elgin, was arrested Dec. 31 and charged with retail theft from Target, 2621 W. Schaumburg Road. His court date is Jan. 20.
• Thomas John Adams, 30, of the 1400 block of Madison Avenue, St. Charles, was arrested around 7:30 p.m. Jan. 2 at JCPenney in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft and battery. His court date is Jan. 20. Police said there were three warrants for his arrest for retail theft out of Kane and Cook counties.
• Michael A. Curylo, 43, of the 500 block of Mistic Harbour Lane, Schaumburg, was arrested around 12:15 p.m. Jan. 2 on the 500 block of Morse Avenue and charged with violation of an order of protection after he entered Woodfield Mall, the victim's place of employment. His court date is Feb. 2.
Streamwood
• Samuel C. Smith, 25, of the 2100 block of Greenwood Court, Streamwood, was arrested around 11:15 p.m. Jan. 3 at Tall Tree Road and Colony Court and charged with a traffic violation and possession of marijuana. A court date was not available.
• Burglars broke into a 1999 Volkswagen Jetta on the 700 block of Wildwood Lane between 10 p.m. and midnight Jan. 4 and stole a $225 radar detector.
• A cell phone, cash, credit card and gift card were stolen from an unattended jacket at a park facility on the 500 block of South Park Boulevard between 5-5:30 p.m. Jan. 4; loss was estimated at $400.
• Someone in a group of four males hurled a brick that hit a Chevrolet Camaro as the driver exited a parking lot on the 500 block of Park Boulevard around 5 p.m. Jan. 4. The victim drove around for a while, hoping to lose the offenders, who left in a dark blue SUV. The SUV caught up with him on westbound Lake Street in Bartlett, where someone in the vehicle shot three bullets at his car. There were bullet holes in the car but no indication the victim was injured.
• A Chevrolet Malibu on the 1000 block of Meadow Lane was broken into between 8 p.m. Jan. 2 and 4 p.m. Jan. 4; a $70 radar detector was stolen.
• Someone broke into a Nissan Titan on the 400 block of Holly overnight Jan. 3-4 and stole a GPS unit. A loss estimate was not available.
