• Eric M. Silva, 36, of the 1500 block of LaHarpe St., LaSalle, was arrested Dec. 7 on the 600 block of Brittany Square and charged with possession of a controlled substance, obstructing justice and aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol. A court date was not available.
Gurnee
•Thieves stole a purse valued at $57 around 11 a.m. Dec. 10 out of a shopping cart at Dominick's, 6655 Route 132, after the victim left it in the cart for 30 minutes.
•Yuliana Castrejon, 18, of the 2500 block of Chestnut Street, Waukegan, was arrested around 6 p.m. Dec. 10 at Kohl's, 6120 Route 132, and charged with local ordinance retail theft after she took jewelry valued at $70. A court date was not available.
Lake Zurich
•Joseph P. India, 26, of the 25500 block of West Cuba Road, Barrington, was arrested around 11:30 a.m. Dec. 11 at his home and charged with felony retail theft after an investigation into the theft of power tools. A court date was not available.
Mundelein
•Alex T. Gryszkowski, 19, of the 300 block of South Route 83, Mundelein, and Chris P. Beveridge, 21, of the 26700 block of North Route 83, Mundelein, were arrested around 12:20 a.m. Dec. 4 and charged with possession of marijuana. Gryszkowski also was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor and traffic violations. His court date is Jan. 22.

•Amy Hughes, 23, of the 21700 block of Antile, Lake Villa, was arrested around 10:35 p.m. Dec. 1 on the 1000 block of North Fairfield Road and charged with battery after she hit woman. A court date was not available.
•Elia H. Guerra, 37, of the 500 block of First Street, Grayslake, was arrested around 2:55 p.m. Dec. 4 at Kohl's, 230 E. Rollins Road, and charged with retail theft after she took jewelry valued at $64. A court date was not available.
•Daniel Carreon, 19, of the 1500 block of Poplar, Round Lake Beach, was arrested around 9:15 p.m. Dec. 4 on the 100 block of East Shorewood and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a child and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a suspicious vehicle investigation. A court date was not available.
Vernon Hills
•Thomas S. Gordon, 37, of the 100 block of Hi Lusi Avenue, Mount Prospect, and Charles W. Paige, 31, of the 200 block of Harvest Court, Vernon Hills, were arrested Dec. 5 at Hawthorn Village Commons. Gordon was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and his court date is Dec. 23; Paige was charged with driving under the influence and traffic violations and his court date is Jan. 7.
