Fox Valley roundup: South Elgin wins

South Elgin 61, Plainfield East 29: Dijon Smith had 13 points as South Elgin collected a 61-29 win over Plainfield East Wednesday at the Oswego East tournament. Genevieve Johnson added 10 points while Cortney Kumerow contributed 8 points for the Storm (7-4).

Hampshire 64, Rockford East 26: Chrissy Heine scored 17 points as the Whip Purs (9-1) flew past Rockford East in game one of the Harlem Holiday Invite. Kelsey Watson posted 9 points for Hampshire.

Huntley 46, Woodstock 43: The Red Raiders' Allyson Stellmach recorded a career-high 13 points with 8 rebounds as Huntley (5-4) downed Woodstock in Fox Valley crossover action. Amanda Wisniewski added 12 points while Carly Goede had 8 points with 4 steals for Huntley.

Streamwood 50, Maine East 47: Totaling a team-high 13 points with 7 assists, Caitlin Marchant led the way as the Sabres (3-5) defeated Maine East for a nonconference victory. Arielle Gallione recorded 10 points for Streamwood while Emma Schmidt and Melissa Oehlerking each had 8.

Jacobs 48, Rockford Lutheran 36: Maria Tamburrino scored 15 points as the Golden Eagles (8-2) defeated Rockford Lutheran at the Harlem Holiday Invite. Keri Bultman (12 points) and Hailey Cnota (11 points) each contributed for Jacobs.

Men's basketball

Judson 106, Lincoln Christian 78: Dewayne Robinson scored 22 points and had 7 rebounds and 6 assists in his first game of the season as Judson (7-6) won in nonconference play. Landon Skinner added 22 points and 9 assists for the Eagles.
