Briefs: Three charged with burglary
Three men - two from Naperville and one from Aurora - have been charged with one count of residential burglary each for an incident that occurred in the 5500 block of East Lake Drive near Lisle, authorities said Monday. Sheriff's deputies said the men entered a residence and fled through the rear door with electronic items. Charged with burglary are Michael L. Conrad, 23, of the 100 block of Gregory Street in Aurora; Skyler T. Cabala, 20, of the 1000 block of Selma Lane in Naperville; and Matthew T. Formoso, 19, of the 1100 block of Sanctuary Drive in Naperville. All three were being held Monday in DuPage County jail, authorities said.
Living window displays
The Stork's Cradle in Wheaton will have live window displays from 6 to 7 p.m. daily through Dec. 20. The costume department at the College of DuPage and The Upper Room Dance Studio teamed up to help create the cast and display. The store is at 210 W. Wesley St.
District 2 tax levy hearing
Bensenville Elementary District 2 leaders will hold a hearing at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, on the 2008 proposed tax levy of $23 million, which represents an 8.23 percent increase over the previous year. Money will be used for classroom instruction, supporting technology and increasing building and utility costs. The meeting will be held at the district's administration center, 210 S. Church Road.
