• Elgin Community College Faculty: Through Dec. 11 at ECC and Foundation Square campuses. Students and visitors to either campus are encouraged to drop canned goods and boxed foods into bins that volunteers will later deliver to the Northern Illinois Food Bank. The food items most sought are canned meals and proteins, such as soups, stews, chili, peanut butter, cereal, tuna, as well as canned fruits and vegetables. Food in glass jars is discouraged.

Some ECC main campus locations where food items may be brought are: third floor of the SRC building, first floor of the ICT building; ITR building outside Room 132; first floor of lthe MSC building and Visual and Performing Arts Center outside the jewelry lab.

Huntley

• Grafton Township pantry, 10109 Vine St., Huntley. Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 1 to 4 p.m.

South Elgin

• South Elgin Food Pantry, 400 W. Spring St.
