Bartlett
• Vandals smashed the rear window on a 2001 GMC Denali parked at Bartlett High School, 701 W. Schick Road, Nov. 7. Damage was estimated at $300.
• A laptop computer and several CDs were stolen out of a 2007 Kia on Dogwood Lane Nov. 10. There was no sign of forced entry; the loss was estimated at $900.
• Vandals cut all the wires in a home under construction on the 100 block of Regency Drive overnight Nov. 9-10. Damage was estimated at $5,000.
• Burglars broke into two vehicles on Greenfield Court Nov. 7 and stole a GPS out of each one. Total loss was estimated at $1,700.
• Charles Tanner, 21, 1158 S. Appletree Lane, Bartlett, was arrested around 8:40 p.m. Nov. 6 at Stearns and South Bartlett roads and charged with disorderly conduct. His court date is Dec. 11.
Hanover Park
• Vandals put a hole in a double-pane window on the 2000 block of Lake Street Nov. 9. A damage estimate was not available.
• A thief stole an $80 check out of an apartment on the 1600 block of Ontarioville Road Nov. 9 and cashed it.
• A vandal slashed tires on a vehicle on the 5700 block of Gardner Court around 11 p.m. Nov. 9. A damage estimate was not available.
• Mario Rodriguez, 19, 3 Birchwood Court, Streamwood, was arrested around 2 a.m. Nov. 8 on the 6200 block of Nugget Circle and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor. A court date was not available.
• Jesus Sanchez, 19, 2460 Leslie Lane, Apt. 9B, Hanover Park, was arrested around 11:20 p.m. Nov. 7 at Chestnut Street and Mark Thomas Lane and charged with possession of alcohol by a minor. A court date was not available.
• Jacqueline N. Yeazell, 20, 7609 Bristol, Hanover Park, was arrested Nov. 6 and charged with retail theft from Ultra Foods, 7580 Barrington Road. A court date was not available.
• Daryl K. Howell Jr., 18, 7988 Asbury Circle, Hanover Park, and Matthew J. Schwendinger, 18, 1500 Bear Flag Drive, Hanover Park, were arrested Nov. 4 and charged with retail theft from Ultra Foods, 7580 Barrington Road. Court dates were not available.
Hoffman Estates
• A 2007 BMW on the 4800 block of Thornbark Lane was vandalized Nov. 8 or 9. Damage was estimated at $200.
• A man stole a purse out of an unlocked 2004 Mazda van around 5:30 p.m. Nov. 8 in a store parking lot on the 300 block of West Higgins Road, just as the owner left the van for a few minutes to return the shopping cart. She saw the man next to her open side door and yelled - he fled with her purse in a dark colored van or truck.
• Two window screens at a home on the 400 block of Bode Road were vandalized around 1 p.m. Nov. 5. Damage was estimated at $25.
Schaumburg
• Kevin M. Mayenschein, 37, 29148 W. Grass Lake Road, Spring Grove, was arrested Nov. 9 and charged with retail theft from Costco, 1375 N. Meacham Road. His court date is Dec. 30.
• Estela Paz, 54, 59 W. Bryant Ave., Palatine, was arrested Nov. 10 and charged with retail theft from JCPenney in Woodfield Mall. Her court date is Dec. 30.
• Thieves stole a wallet out of a purse in a restaurant on the 600 block of East Golf Road between 2-4 p.m. Nov. 9. Loss was estimated at $3,175.
• A pickpocket thief bumped into a woman and stole the wallet out of her purse around 8 p.m. Nov. 9 in a store at Streets of Woodfield, 601 N. Martingale Road. Loss was estimated at $90.
Streamwood
• Daniel J. O'Connell, 22, 27 N. Victoria East, Streamwood, was arrested around 3:10 a.m. Nov. 8 at his apartment and charged with criminal sexual assault. His court date is Dec. 23.
• A car on the 900 block of Hartwood Drive was broken into between 8:30 p.m. Nov. 7 and 7 a.m. Nov. 8; a GPS was stolen.
• Luis Arreola-Perez, 24, 1140 Yorkshire, Hanover Park, was arrested around 7:40 p.m. Nov. 8 on Irving Park Road at Oak Ridge Drive and charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), driving under the influence of alcohol, and traffic violations. A court date was not available.
• Someone took men's clothes, women's clothes, baby clothes, blankets, sheets, and a home stereo out of a home on the 1100 block of Colony Court as the new residents were moving in, between 4 p.m. Nov. 6 and 2 p.m. Nov. 9. The victims found the rear door unlocked. A value estimate was not available.
• Jose A. Tamayo, 19, 1724 Evergreen Ave., Hanover Park, was arrested Nov. 9 and charged with retail theft from Wal-Mart, 850 S. Barrington Road. A court date was not available.
