Forte-Scott will fight for our children

The recent campaign for state representative in the 56th district has turned into a nasty attack of lies and deception. I have seen numerous pieces of mail criticizing Anita Forte-Scott for "putting children at risk." I would like for Paul Froehlich to take a closer look at his record before accusing anyone of endangering children.

First of all, Anita has dedicated her life to children and provided a safe and credible service for early childhood education, as noted by the recent three year license renewal of Bright Stars Academy. Mr. Froehlich on the other hand has spent his career living off your tax dollars, while at the same time promoting dangerous policies that put children's safety at risk. A perfect example is House Bill 4311 (94th General Assembly). The legislation would have prevented convicted sex offenders from coming within 100 feet of a school bus stop, but Rep. Froehlich refused to support the measure. If you want to talk about true child endangerment, allowing known sex offenders to wait with kids at a bus stop is beyond endangerment, its outright criminal.

Mr. Froehlich, you have been a state legislator for six years, I think you should be able to run a campaign on your accomplishments, but judging by the vote mentioned above it is obvious you would rather hide behind fictitious attacks.

Don't be fooled by Froehlich, there is only one person who will fight to protect our children in Springfield; Anita Forte-Scott is the right choice on Nov. 4.
