They cross aisle to support Forte-Scott

It is quite rare for two Democrats to endorse a Republican for elected office. We do, however, without reservation, endorse Anita Forte-Scott for Illinois State Representative in the 56th District.

Both Debbie and I are elected trustees of the Schaumburg Township District Library (a nonpartisan position) where we have served with Anita the last four years.

Anita demonstrated her leadership just two years after her election to the board by being unanimously elected board president at a time when one trustee (no longer serving) was so disruptive that the board meetings were polarizing and counterproductive.

Anita's leadership was the one steadying hand which kept the board functioning and on task as she constantly reminded us that we were elected only to serve the public, and insuring that we enacted policies which improved library service.

Anita is now running for the 56th District State Legislative seat as a Republican, but as she has proved in the past, the party label is not important. She only interested in serving the needs of her constituents.

She has earned your vote as well as our endorsement.
