Forte-Scott will fight for women's health
Anita Forte-Scott understands how breast cancer can affect our lives. She is, and always has been, a vocal advocate for those suffering from breast cancer.
Anita has participated in the Y-Me, Susan G. Komen and Relay 4 Life walks. She has personally endured the loss of her grandmother and two aunts from the debilitating effects of breast cancer.
I am Beverly Forte, her aunt, and I am a breast cancer survivor. While I was undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments, Anita covered shifts at my job so that I could rest and heal. She did this gladly while still working her own full time job and taking care of her family.
Without Anita's help I may have lost my job during one of the most stressful times of my life.
Anita also experienced her own breast cancer scare six years ago when doctors removed a large mass. Thankfully, it was not cancerous, and ever since Anita has been diligent in having regular physical examinations to stay healthy and well.
Women's health concerns are one of Anita's top priorities. It is her goal to use these personal experiences to fight for the necessary treatment to protect Illinois women. Anita Forte-Scott is the right choice on Nov. 4.
