Daily Herald wrong on 44th house race

I was disgusted with the Daily Herald this morning upon reading the editorial board's endorsement of Republican challenger Peggy Brothman over state Rep. Fred Crespo.

Rep. Crespo has done nothing but good things for our community. He has been a strong advocate for us and has stood up to Rod Blagojevich and Todd Stroger to do what's best for our community. Rep. Crespo has sponsored legislation that has a direct impact on our community, like passing legislation which increases penalties against sex offenders, fighting for more funding for education, and providing outstanding constituent services.

The Daily Herald has this one wrong. I encourage you to look at Rep. Crespo's record and vote for him on Tuesday, Nov. 4!
