Crespo has earned another two years

I just read your editorial choice of endorsement in the 44th House District. Not only is it laughable, it is just not in step with the people who live in the district.

State Rep. Fred Crespo has shown more than any other elected official I have ever heard of that he is an independent guy with only the best interest of his constituents at heart. He is an extremely hard worker and he isn't afraid to stand up to people in his own party to do what's right.

Fred Crespo, although only a freshman legislator, stood up to Senate President Emil Jones and demanded that the senate be called back to session to vote to reject pay raises for legislators. Fred Crespo, new on the scene in Springfield, co-authored legislation to fight Todd Stroger's unfair sales tax increase in Cook County.

While the media may try to sway you with biased rhetoric, keep in mind that State Rep. Fred Crespo is a regular guy who loves to help people. And, in a short two years he has shown that he is a go-getter willing to work across party lines for what is right.

I stand, with many of my friends, neighbors and co-workers, in support of State Rep. Fred Crespo.
