Crespo deserves credit, re-election

I have been getting a lot of political mail lately, and I am really tired of the mudslinging and lies that are coming from the Republican challenger Peggy Brothman. She is pulling one of the oldest tricks in the books. She lies about her opponent and claims that he is the one lying. Voters are smarter than what some politicians give them credit for. My friends and I can all see through those lame attempts to smear a really great guy, and solid representative, Fred Crespo.

State Rep. Fred Crespo worked to stop legislative pay raises this year, despite Brothman's Hail Mary attempt to claim otherwise.

State Rep. Fred Crespo supported SJRCA 42, the citation used in Brothman's hate mail, because it would have given a tax break to 95 percent of the people in Illinois. Brothman forgets to mention that little gem. She also doesn't tell the whole truth in that this would have provided $1 billion for education, something a school board member should make a priority. Or what about the $1 billion it would have provided for a much needed capital plan that would create good paying jobs right here in our communities|?

I commend State Rep. Fred Crespo for running on his record and accomplishments, and I hope he is successful on Nov. 4. Crespo is a true community leader who works hard for us no matter what our party affiliation is.
