Froehlich too easy on illegal immigrants
One of the most important issues facing Illinois, and the entire country for that matter, is illegal immigration. When undocumented persons enter our community it raises a number of problems, ranging from safety and security issues to additional costs to taxpayers. State Rep. Froehlich (District 56) has taken an unusual, and quite frankly backward, approach to addressing this vital concern by rewarding those who knowingly break the laws with additional privileges.
Mr. Froehlich, it is clear you do not feel that the majority of the naturalized, law abiding citizens deserve to be protected; as evident by your chief sponsorship of legislation that will allow illegal immigrants to obtain a driver's license. As Paul Froehlich previously said about allowing undocumented immigrants the privilege of driving, "one less legal problem for them to deal with." First of all we should not simply be ignoring issues which are against the law. Second, we all have numerous problems in our everyday lives, but you are more concerned about helping those who are breaking the law than those who follow the letter of the law day in and day out.
Paul, your priorities are out of touch with the majority of citizens in the 56th District. We need someone who will stand up for those of us who actually pay taxes and follow the laws, not a political official who feels we should reward lawbreakers with driving privileges. Let's enforce the laws already on the books and stop tolerating illegal activities. Take down the welcome sign for illegal immigrants entering Illinois and end Paul Froehlich's free ride; vote Anita Forte-Scott as 56th District representative if you want real enforcement.
