Best for Waukegan to vote out old guard

Waukegan is the county seat for Lake County with a rich history, Lake Michigan waterfront and transportation infrastructure.

It's absurd that Sen. Terry Link, as the Lake County Democratic Chairman and four-term state senator, says that a gambling boat should come to Waukegan because it's a 'community that is economically depressed.'

If it is a depressed area, is it this way because of poor leadership, or because the businesses are being chased out in the hope of creating the need for a boat, which brings with it gain for those on the inside? Either way, it's time to elect new leaders.

Sen. Link, Mayor Hyde and their "yes men" all have to go. I'm excited about new faces like Keith Gray and Chris Wakefield, people who are not part of the old guard!
