Forte-Scott mailer deceptive

Recently I received a mailer from Anita Forte-Scott's campaign stating that our current state Rep. Paul Froehlich voted in favor of the Stroger sales tax. However clever this mailing looked, it is a blatant lie.

The constituents of this area know that Paul is making it a priority to repeal the onerous Stroger sales tax. In fact, Paul is the chief sponsor of legislation to repeal the Cook County sales tax increase and is currently passing a petition to garner support for that legislation against Stroger.

I especially appreciate that her mailer states that she is "working on legislative proposals" to repeal the tax. Go to www.ilga.gov and type in HB 6669. You will see that Paul filed the bill back in July when the county exhausted its repeal efforts.

Having served with Paul Froehlich's opponent on the Schaumburg Library Board for years, I can tell you that the only things she proposed during my tenure was to spend more of your tax dollars on wasteful spending. For her to label Froehlich as a supporter of the Stroger sales tax is nothing more than a lie meant to deceive the public - people hit hard by this tax increase who deserve better.

Between these two candidates, only one has a record of hard work, introducing new, fiscally responsible measures, and taking true leadership for the good of our area. Vote Paul Froehlich.
