• Eric Schilling, 27, 2101 North Ave., Waukesha, Wis., was arrested around 3:20 a.m. Sept. 28 at 1175 W. Lake St., and charged with aggravated assault, resisting a peace officer, battery and criminal trespass, police said. His Rolling Meadows court date was set for Nov. 13.

• Three boys, 13 and 14 years of age, set off smoke bombs around 5:30 p.m. Sept. 29 at Sycamore Trails School, 1025 Sycamore Lane, police said. They were detained and released to their parents.

Hanover Park

• A vandal shot BB-gun pellets around 2:15 p.m. Oct. 5 that broke a window at a home on the 1200 block of Yorkshire, police said. A damage estimate was not available.

• Thieves stole a bicycle around 6 p.m. Oct 5 parked on the 1000 block of Parkview Drive, police said. A value estimate was not available.

Hoffman Estates

• Thieves stole a purse, digital camera, cell phone, shoes and money around 11 p.m. Oct. 4 from a female student during the homecoming dance at Hoffman Estates High School, 1100 W. Higgins Road, police said. Value was estimated at $557.

• Thieves stole a boys' chrome BMX bike with black seat, grips and pedals around 8:30 p.m. Oct. 4 parked on the 700 block of Hill Drive, police said. According to reports, he left the bike for a few minutes to tell his brother to come home; it was missing when he returned to the bike's location. Value was estimated at $175.

Schaumburg

• Christi Vanjaarsveld, 19, 548 S. Plum Grove Road, Palatine, was arrested around 3:45 p.m. Oct. 4 and charged with retail theft after a security agent for Sears in Woodfield Mall saw her take seven women's shirts valued at $180 and leave without paying, police said. Her Rolling Meadows court date was set for Nov. 14.

• Carmen Tenoria, 38, 2 E. Oltendorf, Streamwood, was arrested around 8:25 p.m. Oct. 4 and charged with retail theft after a security agent for J.C. Penney in Woodfield Mall saw her take two women's white jackets and six women's shirts and leave without paying police said. Value was estimated at $498. Her Rolling Meadows court date was set for Nov. 14.

• Two women stole a white baseball costume and a Greek goddess costume around 4:30 p.m. Oct. 4 from Spirit Halloween Superstore, 237 E. Irving Park Road, police said. A value estimate was not available.
