Palatine woman to serve as Drake alumni group president
Christin Lore Anderson of Palatine, vice president for Banc of America Leasing & Capital in Chicago, has been elected to a two-year term as president of the Drake University National Alumni Association Board. Anderson, a 1993 graduate of the Drake University College of Business and Public Administration, has served on the university's alumni board since 2002.
• Hannah Perryman, 14, of Streamwood, was named to the Adidas Top 100 noncommitted recruits in the nation. She was one of 13 pitchers from across the nation and the only person from Illinois selected. As part of the honor, she attended a national recruiting camp in Utah.
• District 220 alumni Rishi Sethi, Nina Sethi and Stephen Wulff represented Chess Without Borders at the U.N. Youth Assembly Aug. 12-14 in New York. They joined about 1,000 students from all over the world and were selected for their humanitarian services and were invited to work on the Millennium Development Goals for the U.N. This summer chess students and GM Shulman sponsored a chess tournament in a school in Berlin, Germany, donated money to a local animal shelter as well as served as teachers at a rehabilitation center in Elgin.
