Lake County Astronomical Society: 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, visitor center at Volo Bog State Natural Area, 28478 W. Brandenburg Road, Ingleside. Open business meeting followed by a public astronomy program around 8:30 p.m. and a public star party at 9:30 p.m. Guest speaker Joe Shuster will present "Bits and Pieces of Astrophotography," about the small but important bit of equipment needed to use optics with astro-imaging equipment.
