John Michael Talbot to perform at St. Isidore

Musician, author and humanitarian John Michael Talbot will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Bloomingdale. The concert will be in the main church just north of the corners at Army Trail Rd. and Gary Ave. Talbot will share songs that have made him one of the most prominent and beloved performers of Christian music. Talbot will be introducing his 51st album, "The Troubadour Years."

The tour is specifically to raise funds for the rebuilding of Talbot's home, Little Portion Hermitage Monastery, which suffered a suffered a vicious fire on April 29, burning the chapel and the Common Center to the ground in less than an hour and a half. All survived, though members of the community, including Talbot, suffered from the effects of smoke inhalation.
