Missing Warrenville woman found
A developmentally disabled Warrenville woman reported missing late Friday is back home with her family after being discovered in Chicago, police said Sunday. A Warrenville police spokesman would only say that Jasmine Renae Jones, 26, was found unharmed late Saturday night. Police originally believed Jones may have been with a man she met through a phone dating service.
Winfield town center meeting
The village of Winfield will host a community workshop Saturday, Sept. 13 beginning at 1 p.m. to present development concepts for its town center district and get feedback on the village's development planning efforts. The feedback will then be used to help create a final concept to capture the vision, goals and objectives for the village's downtown area. Voter registration
Lombard's village hall hours will be extended through Oct. 7 for people who need to register to vote or change their addresses. Village hall will be open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays Sept. 27 and Oct. 4, and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 6 and Oct. 7. Formalwear fundraiser
The Glenbard West Choral Parents Association is looking for assistance with a concert dress and tuxedo sale. Anyone with an item to sell is asked to contact Marsha Webster at (630) 858-4816. Half of the sale proceeds will be returned to the seller and the remainder will help support Glenbard West's choirs. Donations are needed by Monday, Sept. 22.
Cell phone donations
Cell Phones for Soldiers and the Wheaton Police Department are collecting used cell phones, with attached batteries and any accessories. Cell Phones for Soldiers said it hopes to collect more than 50,000 phones to help keep troops connected with their families. Phones can be dropped off at the police station, 900 W. Liberty Drive in Wheaton.
