Vintage Illinois Wine Festival trip: 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, bus departs from the Palatine Park District, 250 E. Wood St., Palatine. Festival located in Matthiessen State Park, Utica, Ill. Trip includes coach bus transportation, admission, souvenir wine glass, tasting tickets, music. Food available for purchase. Must be over 21 with a valid photo ID. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to guarantee yourself a seat at the festival. No outside food or beverages allowed into the festival. $40, residents; $60 nonresidents. • Polar Bear Discovery: Saturday, Oct. 4. See majestic arctic polar bear on the shores of Hudson Bay. Stops in Winnipeg, Manitoba, more.
• New York City: Saturday, Nov. 2. Six-day trip to New York with stops in Pennsylvania and Ohio, with three nights in Manhattan.
