Briefs: Brennan Center dedication

Holy Family Parish in Inverness will unveil its new wing named for its longtime pastor on Saturday Sept. 6. The ceremonies to dedicate the Brennan Center for Children, Youth and Families starts at 4:30 p.m. at the church, 2515 W. Palatine Road. The $6.7 million, two-story and 38,400 square-foot multipurpose room is named for Rev. Patrick Brennan who has served the church for 13 years. The beloved Rev. Brennan recently asked the Archdiocese of Chicago if he could remain at Holy Family through June 2009. That's when his two-year extension to his previous two, six-year terms would expire. Archdiocesan officials have not granted the request for another extension.
