Lake Co. briefs
Water conservation campaign
Fremont Township has embarked on a water conservation campaign. According to township officials, Lake County has an abundance of water but there is increasing concern that consumable water is becoming a limited commodity, and if not used properly, residents could face shortages within 20 years. Initially, posters and signs concerning water conservation will be placed in high-profile public areas. Residents are also encouraged to purchase and display signs. They are available for $30 per sign at the township office, 22376 W. Erhart Road, Mundelein. Proceeds will be used to fund water conservation projects.
