Hoffman Estates
• A green 2000 Chevrolet Silverado, worth about $12,000, was stolen from the 700 block of Heritage Drive between 6 p.m. Aug. 13 and 5 a.m. Aug. 14.
• A home on the 1200 block of West New Britton Drive was broken into between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Aug. 14; a 50-inch TV was stolen. Damage and the theft were estimated at $2,800.
• A 2004 Ford Taurus on the 900 block of Butter Creek Court was burglarized between 7 p.m. Aug. 12 and 6:25 a.m. Aug. 13; a satellite radio and flashlight were stolen and a dashboard vent was damaged. Damage and value were estimated at $305.
• Fredis Rivera, 21, 2325 W. Mansard Lane, Apt. 322, Mount Prospect, was arrested around 2:30 a.m. Aug. 9 at a club on the 1000 block of North Roselle Road and charged with battery. His court date is Sept. 5.
• A home on the 500 block of West Berkely Lane was broken into between 7 p.m. Aug. 10 and 10 p.m. Aug. 11; the intruders stole 15 DVDs and cash. The damage and theft was estimated at $210.
Palatine
• Someone stole $97 between July 23 and Aug. 12 from Salon 134 West, 134 W. Northwest Hwy.
• A thief or thieves stole nine wedding books and a phone directory from Kinsch Village Florist, 301 W. Johnson St., between 8 p.m. Aug. 12 and 9 a.m. Aug. 13. There was no sign of forced entry; the theft was estimated at $760.
• Someone took about $300 in cash from an apartment on the 1500 block of North Winslowe Drive between 4 and 5:30 p.m. Aug. 14.
• Luis A. Arroyo, 21, 2048 N. Ginger Creek Drive, Palatine, was arrested around 5:10 p.m. Aug. 14 in Twin Lakes Park, 1200 E. Twin Lakes Drive, and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of alcohol in a public place. His court date is Sept. 8.
Schaumburg
• A man being given a ride stole the driver's wallet as he got out of the car. Police said the driver gave someone a ride to the corner of Schaumburg Road and Knollwood Drive around 3:45 p.m. Aug. 11, and as he exited the car he grabbed the wallet from the center console. The theft was estimated at $1,800.
• A 2006 Chevrolet on the 300 block of East Monterey Avenue was burglarized between 4 p.m. Aug. 11 and 7 a.m. Aug. 12; a GPS unit, phone charger and money were stolen. There was no sign of forced entry; the loss was estimated at $390.
