Hoffman Estates Citizens Fire Academy: 6:30-9:30 p.m. Tuesdays Aug. 26-Nov. 10, Fire Station 22, 1700 Moon Lake Blvd., Hoffman Estates. Residents of the village can experience and learn about the inner workings of the fire department. Participate in using the "Jaws of Life," climb a 100-foot ladder and learn about home fire safety, CPR and the history of the Hoffman Estates Fire Department.
