• Burglars smashed a window and stole an MP3 player, cash, and digital camera between 10:30 p.m. July 28 and 2:10 p.m. July 29 out of a 2004 Toyota SUV parked on the 3400 block of Grandmore Avenue, police said. Value was estimated at $987.
• Thieves stole a men's green and silver mountain bike between 2 and 5:50 p.m. July 29 that was chained to a railing at a hotel at 3740 Route 132, police said. Value was estimated at $50.
Lake Zurich
• Burglars stole $125 July 28 out of a cash register in a business on the 100 block of Oakwood Road, police said.
• Thieves stole a bicycle around 8 p.m. July 28 that was parked at the Ela Area Public Library, 275 Mohawk Trail, police said. Value was estimated at $425.
• A woman stole clothes around 10 p.m. July 29 out of a store on the 600 block of North Rand Road, police said. Value was estimated at $150.
Lincolnshire
• Someone made two unauthorized charges on a credit card belonging to a Brunswick Lane resident, police reported. The victim reported the unlawful use of a credit card charges on July 30. A value estimate was not available.
• Burglars removed copper piping from a locked room of a business in the 100 block of Milwaukee Avenue. A value estimate was not available.

• Patricia E. Atkins, 49, 105 Woodland Drive, Round Lake Beach, was arrested around 12:01 a.m. July 13 and charged with aggravated battery after she pulled a victim out of a vehicle at Goodnow and Route 134, police said. A court date was not available.

• Christopher J. Hinzman, 22, 3115 23rd St., Zion, was arrested around 12:40 a.m. July 17 on the 900 block of North Lotus Drive and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said. A court date was not available.
• Jacob McInteryer, 20, 1012 Oakwood, Round Lake Beach, was arrested around 1:40 p.m. July 17 at his home and charged with aggravated battery after he punched a man in the face and broke his nose, police said. A court date was not available.
Vernon Hills
• Dorita Escobar-Trujillo, 26, 1504 Silver Lane, Apt. 3A, Palatine, and Rosa A. Sanchez-Martinez, 36, and Alva M. Gonzalez-Sanchez, 29, both of 1501 Crimson Lane, Apt. 1A, Vernon Hills, were arrested July 26 and charged with retail theft after a security agent for Sears in Westfield Hawthorn mall saw them take clothes and jewelry and leave without paying, police said. Value was estimated at $266. Their Waukegan court date was set for Aug. 18.
• Kelvin R. Pena, 19, 201 S. Buesching Road, Apt. 314, Lake Zurich; Tamara N. Johnson, 19, 21740 N. Inglenook Lane, Deer Park; Matthew J. Stickles, 19, 21791 Hickory Hill Road, Kildeer; Jaclyn C. Bien, 19, 1527 Sandy Pass, Lake Zurich; and Dillon V. Boyer, 19, 1219 Yorkshire Lane, Barrington, were arrested July 27 and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor after a traffic stop at Townline and Butterfield roads, police said. Pena also was charged with driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia, and his Waukegan court date was set for Aug. 20, reports added. The others received a Mundelein court date of Sept. 8.

• John Reyna, 35, 1505 Cedarwood, Wheeling, was arrested July 27 on the 100 block of Osage and charged with battery, police said. His Waukegan court date was set for Aug. 12.
