Lynda Markut and Anatole Crane will discuss their book, "Dementia Caregivers Share Their Stories; A Support Group in a Book." An open forum to address questions will follow the presentation. Book launch: July 19, TT Patton, 123 E. Station St., Barrington. TT Patton of Barrington will host Ellyn Spragins, New York best-selling author for the launch of her new book, "If I'd Known Then- Women in Their 20s and 30s Write Letters to Their Younger Selves." Spragins will conduct a writing workshop for high school girls at 1 p.m. To registration required. "Our Life on the Run - A Story of Running 50 Marathons in 50 States - A Family Quest": 10:30 a.m. July 21, Victory Centre of Bartlett, 1101 W. Bartlett Road, Bartlett. Indian Trails used book sale: Members-only preview sale, 5-9 p.m. July 18, public sale 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 19 and noon to 3 p.m. July 20, Indian Trails Public Library, 355 S. Schoenbeck Road, Wheeling. The Friends of the Indian Trails Public Library District will begin their used book sale. Membership dues for 2008 are $3 for an individual and $6 for a family membership. A children's used book sale will also take place at the same times. Children's books are mostly 25 cents. Adults' pocket paperbacks are 50 cents; all others are $1, except for "better books," which are priced higher. On July 20, most books will be sold $3 per grocery bag.
