Prosecutors to seek death:
Authorities announced Wednesday they intend to seek the death penalty against Kaushik J. Patel if the 34-year-old man is convicted of killing his two young sons after intentionally igniting them on fire Nov. 18 in their home on the 1800 block of Harvest Lane in Glendale Heights. Patel has pleaded innocent. He showed no outward reaction when DuPage County prosecutors Liam Brennan and Alex McGimpsey told a judge of the capital punishment decision.
